Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance
Villa Medici
2022

An exclusive collaboration between Fendi and the French Academy in Rome, with the support of the Mobilier National, for the refurbishment of six historic Salons.

This work of refurbishment has been guided by the desire to create a dialogue between the present heritage and contemporary creations.

Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance drew his inspiration from the characteristic forms and materials of Rome: the silhouette of the umbrella pines appears in his Borghese table, which he adapted for the "Salon des Pensionnaires", and the pavement of the Via Appia Antica inspired the modular table he created especially for the "Salon de Lecture" and the "Salon Bleu".

Balance has a softness and calmness to it, balancing on the base as it’s point of equilibrium with perfect proportions. A thing of beauty.

Ancrage family pieces are geometrical constructions. Vertical and horizontal lines connect in emphasised intersections. The radical clarity of their design pays subtle homage to Rietveld and brutalism.

Maison Intègre
2021

Maison Intègre is based in Ouagadougou, where craftmen create objects in bronze using the ancestral lost wax technique. Noé worked in close collaboration with the bronzesmiths and artisans at Maison Intègre’s workshops to create the pieces for this collection. Each piece is crafted by hand with recycled metal.
